Apple is working on voice magazine-articles
Apple is working on read aloud versions of long articles from various newspapers, sites and magazines.
The images are called ‘Ghosts Editions ” and were briefly all on iTunes, discovered TechCrunch.
The function is early October and officially rolled out, says the site, which will also own articles will submit for Ghosts Editions. Also, there are articles and news to listen to more Wired, TIME, Playboy, .Mic, Bustle and Forbes.
The audio editions are created by the company SpokenLayer, that all such spoken editions and podcasts for, among others, Forbes, Reuters, and TIME. The articles are free, but with audio ads.
Amazon offers a similar service in the U.S., in cooperation with audiobook maker Audible. The Ghosts Editions of iTunes are in the first instance, probably not yet available in English.
