The leader of ‘the team’ is optimistic after a meeting with the speaker of the house of representatives before the summer break.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday, the “common ground” with some members of the Republican party, but criticized the GOP for a “political mob.”
The New York Democrat, made the comments during one of their now-signature Instagram, live streams, where they answered questions from viewers, as they cooked dinner.

“There are quite a few Republican points of view, which I share, actually, and I think there are a lot of places where I have common ground. I actually think I have said a lot of similarities with many libertarian points of view in their party,” Ocasio-Cortez.

She then began listing some of the libertarian views with which you agree.
“True libertarians that are many happen to be in the Republican party, true libertarian points of view, pro-immigration. So one of them,” she said.
“Another is that I was ballistic to be pretty anti-intervention. … I’m anti-war, and so from the perspective of small government, it is the Republicans who are consistently anti-war and anti-military-spending. So I’m more likely to find a lot of things in common with them.”
The comment came shortly before Ocasio-Cortez fired a tweet to the Republican-Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming., anyone who criticized the democratic candidate, Elizabeth Warren. The New Yorker dismissed Cheney is on the basis of the foreign policy of her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney.
“MFW *Liz Cheney* all the people who tried to make the foreign policy, as if a whole generation has not lived through the Cheney sent us to war, since we were kids,” she tweeted.
She added that during the live stream, she finds a common cause with libertarian Republicans, when it comes up against state surveillance and other measures that violate the rights to privacy and other civil rights.
Later, the Republican point of view, confirmed their sympathy to certain Republic on Twitter, said she finds common ground on issues such as “the end was unnecessary & the containment of the exploding military spending,” “protection of civil liberties and privacy rights” and “Holding a bad contractor is responsible.”

But in spite of their comments, Ocasio-Cortez beat the course, to criticize the party, for the shift from ideological purity.
“The Republican party in Congress is more ideologically conservative, they are kind of the political mob,” she said.
“You can’t count on them to securely hold certain views because they advance certain views, if it helps the President but then abandon those same principles when it does not help the President.”

Earlier this year, both Ocasio-Cortez, and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, found common ground on the question of allowing the sale of birth control over the counter and the prohibition of the Congress to the lobbyists.
