Add “Communist” to the list of terms that may be racist, after Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, said on Wednesday that the term had a “long” and “rich history”, tied to white supremacy in the United States.

“It was one of the favorite smears against the Integration of schools, & one of the most important attacks segregation is against [Martin Luther King Jr],” she said, referring to the civil rights hero.

Ocasio-Cortez the context of a tweet called a conservative publication, for which supposedly is the justification of racist attacks in the direction of a socialist.

“Honour to whom honour is due: the argument that it’s okay, racism against the socialist that was critical of America tweeted for the first time in the 1960s by the “National Review” in their many attacks on Martin Luther King, Jr,” Jeet Heer, a correspondent for the leftist magazine The Nation.
