‘Antwerpen Proeft’ is extended with a culinary book fair

The gourmet festival Antwerp a Taste of that this year its eleventh edition, and from Friday 28 april to Monday 1 may take place at the Antwerp Waagnatie, adds for the first time, a mini-book fair to the poster.

Sandra Bekkari opens the festival with her “no more diets”-book series. In addition, under more Sepideh Sedaghatnia and Kristof and Stefan Boxy sign.

New this year is an extensive children’s program. There is a child with speelgoedkeukentjes, by a label recognizable made child-friendly dishes and free of charge cooking workshops and classes for children up to 12 years. Children up to 15 years old get, anyway free access to Antwerp to Taste.

Great chefs

The culinary hatch with tastings continues in the meantime, of course, the largest part of the program part. So is the Würst of Jeroen Meus of the party, like Wim Baillieu’s Balls & Glory and David Martin of La Paix. Also michelin starred restaurant, The Jane van Sergio Herman is a four-day Tastes with his small dish of guinea fowl.

There are also foreign restaurants such as ‘t Schulten Hues from the Dutch Zutphen and Beepers & Beef from Amsterdam. It also receives author Luc Hoornaert daily star chefs as Thijs Vervloet and Karen Torosyan in his position and there is extra attention for “gourmet fast food”. A lot of chefs also hold cooking demonstrations.

Workshops

Anyone that wants to work can, and as always, subscribe for a few workshops. So you can learn how to work with combi-stoomovens and induction hobs and the matching dishes.

Antwerpen Proeft costs 7 euros for a day ticket and 13 euro for a ticket in advance, on the spot, you pay 2 euro more. For most dishes, you pay on top of 5 or 7.5 euros.
