Antje Monteiro less bang for the transition
Antje Monteiro see less on the transition thanks to her role in the theatrical performance Hot flashes. A few years ago, thought the actress that she immediately behind the geraniums would end up.
“I thought I’d struggle with would have. But if I now all the women in the room see, that after the presentation to the white wine and bitterballen to go, then I know that life is still far from over,” says Monteiro Monday in the AD.
“Jennifer Lopez is 47, Jennifer Aniston – all women with a great career, and that there are still beautiful look. I find, by this role, the transition is not at all weird or exciting.”
Self hopes Monteiro that her transition without too much physical discomfort to expire. “I’m not pillenslikker. I can’t see myself on the hormonal preparations go, like my character Lydia,” she says. “It’s part of life, I’m just glad each year that I get.”
“My daughter Romy is so wonderfully uninhibited. I miss that sometimes, but I’m also happy. I can do better for myself to choose. Then I say: now is the Antje-time.”
Her daughter Romy has more trouble with the aging of her mother. “They find it a scary idea that I am getting older. Because ageing also means that you are closer to death.”
