Disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner is planning a plea of guilty to confess on Friday, a US Federal court to a charge transfer of obscene material to a minor.
A PR company for Weiner’s lawyer confirmed to Fox News that he was going to plead guilty, and the FBI told Fox News that Weiner was on Friday morning.
The FBI began investigating Weiner in September after a 15-year-old North Carolina girl has a tabloid news site, that she and the former politician exchanged had lewd messages for several months.
Also they accused him of, she asked to undress in front of the camera.
The New York Times first reported that the former New York, the plea will come democratic members of Congress on Friday in Manhattan.
According to the times, the expected plea behavior from February down to March 2016. The charge reportedly carries a potential penalty of up to 10 years in prison, to avoid even though the former Congressman is also a possibility that the prison completely.
The extroverted politician announced to the Congress in 2011, after an erroneous tweet ended up making his sexting habits. He mounted later an unsuccessful run for New York City mayor.
But the reports he had to send explicit messages to a minor, took the controversy in criminal territory.
The investigation notorious by cuts last year, the 2016 presidential campaign, when agents seized equipment and of found E-Mails between Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin, Weiner and his divorced wife, and a top Clinton adviser.
