CNN statement: Anthony Bourdain’s death a suicide
Celebrity chef found dead in a hotel in France, where he was filming for “s Unknown” TV-series; Laura Ingle reports.
Anthony Bourdain’s “s Unknown” to return to TV in autumn for its latest season on CNN.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 12th season of Bourdain’s series, which in the production, when it became known that the famous chef and committed suicide on location in France, not official air date.
CNN has decided to go with the 12th season of the series, despite the fact that only one episode, which includes a trip to Kenya with CNN host W. Kamau Bell, was completed before Bourdain’s death.

The rest of the episodes, with trips to Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the Big Bend area of Texas, and the Asturias region of Spain and Indonesia, will be made by the directors of Bourdain’s production company, according to the CNN executive Amy Entelis, who started with “Unknown” in 2013.
“Each one feels slightly different, depending on what has been collected in the field,” Entelis told the L. A. Times. “They will have the full presence of Tony, because you see him, you hear him you will see him. That layer of the story will be missed, but it will be replaced by other voices of people who are in the episodes.”

Before the season of the last episode, the cast and crew come together for an episode of the show, where they talk about the making of the series and how they were able to use scenes and the behind-the-scenes footage of Bourdain for the upcoming season. The last hour of the special will be devoted Bourdain of the impact, the Entelis explains.
The well-known CNN host, was found dead in his hotel room in France on Friday 8 June. He was 61.
“It is with extraordinary sadness, we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” CNN said in a statement at the time. “His love for the great adventure, new friends, good food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talent never ceases to amaze us, and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family in this incredibly difficult time.”
A day after his death was announced by the ministry of Colmar in France’s Alsace, that Bourdain hung herself in the bathroom of his French hotel room.
Bourdain’s girlfriend, the Italian actress Asia Argento, tweeted on the day of his death, “Anthony gave all of himself in everything he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am broken. My thoughts are with his family. I would want you to respect their privacy and that of me.”
