Annette Benning plays role in Katrina: American Crime Story
Annette Benning is the first published castlid of the series, Katrina: American Crime Story.
The series is a sequel to The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, multiple Emmy’s and Golden Globes won.
The second season focuses on the events surrounding hurricane Katrina in 2005. Benning, according to E Online and play the role of Kathleen Blanco, the governor of Louisiana at the time of the disaster.
It will be one of the few tv roles of Benning. The actress has played until now only roles in the series Miami Vice and Wiseguy, and tv-movies Hostage and the Manhunt for Claude Dallas. Benning, who is married to actor Warren Beatty, was also featured in the motion picture Bugsy, American Beauty and The American President.
Previously, it was already confirmed that American Crime Story, that conceived and made by director Ryan Murphy, a third season. This will be the story to be told about the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace. There are also rumors about a fourth season, that would be about the scandal surrounding Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.
The second season of American Crime Story will be in 2018, a specific date is not yet known.
