With a weight of just 28 pounds, Joseph is officially a morbidly obese cat. Fortunately, he is at the moment fostered by a family that has been dedicated to getting him healthy and placed in a good home.
Joseph was at the mercy of the Virginia-based Lost Dog and Cat Rescue, DCist reports. He has since been taken in by a local foster family.

His foster family describes Joseph as a “really sweet and loves to be doted on by the man. It used to be in a pet, and was very spoiled.”

The family business has an Instagram page for all their animals are referred to as the Academy for Wayward Kittens, which has more than 100,000 followers. Joseph turns out to be a favorite among the fans.

“He likes to have a routine and it will be a little bit nervous when we have to deviate from that,” his foster care stay. “Well, he’s got his own room, and it is very comfortable and full of confidence, but if we are to challenge him in order to get out of that environment, he is full of drama. He rolls onto his back, crying, with his legs in front of the door to his room, and just look at you like ” how could you be so cruel!!!!’ It’s cute, funny, and engaging.”
