After a few years of playing “mom,” Angelina Jolie wants to go back to find out the person they were before they get older.

The “Maleficent: the Mistress of Evil” star, 44, said that her children are growing up, and she recently saw the oldest son, Maddox, to the university of her to get back in touch with themselves outside of their maternal role.

“When your kids are little, feeling more of the ‘mom.’ If they are teens, you will begin to remember yourself as a teenager,” she told Hello! magazine. “You’ll see, they’re going to the punk clubs, and you’ll wonder why you didn’t go. I’m at this great point where I’m rediscovering myself.”

ANGELINA JOLIE ATTENDS FILM SCREENING WITH ALL SIX OF HER AND BRAD PITT’S KIDS

Jolie revealed that she has shifted her focus away from the control and return-to-action in order to have more time to spend with their six children-Maddox, 18, Pax 15, And Zahara, 14, And Shiloh, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 11-with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

“I’m a little bit more, so I can’t be what my family needs me to be, at the realization — it takes a lot of time and effort to be direct, and I look forward to being able to do that again when things are better,” she said.

The Oscar-winner revealed she has to put her children on set with her when she was in the film, because it allows them to see the “mom” in a whole new light.

“They’re very good on set,” she said. “But what if they see me doing some cool action thing, and they think it’s funny because they know me so well. They are used to seeing me as a Mother in my nightgown, and not very good at making breakfast, and being silly. It’s fun and it’s interesting, because the different sets in different worlds, different cultures and different places.”
