Anarchists attack police in Athens district of Exarchia
Anarchists have in the night from Saturday on Sunday wreaked havoc in the district of Exarchia, in the Greek capital Athens. They threw molotov cocktails and stones at the police.
Also they put garbage containers on fire. The police closed the streets around the University for some time.
Exarchia, many of them as anarchistenbolwerk in Athens. In 2016, joined the Athenian police agencies in this area. This year it seems the violence to worsen. All multiple buses to stop forced, after which the passengers the bus had to leave. Then the bus was set on fire.
Exarchia is located between two major universities. The oppositional socialist party PASOK, extreme left-wing groups and mensenrechtenbewegingen have their headquarters. The district also houses drug addicts.
