Amy Schumer back to the comedy stage, two weeks after the birth of her and her husband Chris Fischer’s son. But some of the star co-mothers were not too happy with her decision to do this, slamming Schumer on social media for the return to work.

Schumer on Monday night performed at the Comedy Cellar, a popular club in New York City, where other comic greats — such as Louis C. K., Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman and more — have performed.

The “Trainwreck” star, 37, later took to Instagram with a photo of himself on the club stage.

“I’m back!” she captioned the post, in part.

Hundreds of the comedian’s fans were quick to respond to the post, many of whom praised the new mother to get back to the business, as soon after the birth.

“You can’t keep a good woman!” wrote one person.

“How are you back to work? Are you a man?” said the other.

“Hell yes!” wrote a third.

“You’re a rock star. I bet it felt great to be back there,” said the fourth.

But others were not so happy with Schumer, slamming her for leaving her son to go back to work.

“Jesus, Amy. Let the stitches dissolve of the first. I’m still on the sofa and my youngest is three,” said one person.

“Already? That is insane! And inhumane. Contract or not, you have a period of at least 6 weeks of motherhood,” said a second.

“Already?” another asked.

“I’m sorry. What?! You have not the birth of a man, such as 5 minutes ago?” wrote a fourth.

But others were quick to defend Schumer against the trolls.

“This is just in: woman gives birth, then within a few weeks leaves the house and is in there for 30 minutes surrounded by friends, making people laugh. The horror. Call CPS,” said one person.

“Everyone on the mother-shaming here probably signed the petition to reopen the final. Get a hobby people, seriously,” wrote a second person, referring to a viral online petition that called for a remake of the entire eighth and final season of the popular HBO show.

“What rest? Are you kidding me? I had no one to clean and cook for me, go grocery shopping, to take my children to school, activities, etc. Three children, one of them a newborn. That is the life. You just put on your cape and do what you gotta do. In addition, work helps with postpartum depression, too. Amy, you are amazing. Rock on, ” a third commented.

The next day, Schumer posted a picture of herself with the help of a breast pump and spoke to her critics.

“Sending love to the mother’s shaming me for doing standup last night!” she wrote next to the image.

Schumer has been open about the struggles that come with a new mother, such as the apparent lack of privacy, for example. Earlier this month she took to Instagram to share a photo of themselves on the toilet when a woman holds her son, Gene Attell Fischer.

Prior to that, she shared a photo of herself and her sleeping newborn just a few days after the birth.

Schumer and Fischer were married in February 2018, just days after the duo made their relationship official on the social media. Eight months later, Schumer revealed she was pregnant with the couple’s first child.
