The holidays came early this year for Amy Schumer, the father of Gordon. The “Trainwreck” star, the family bought the farm and surprised her father with the big news.
The Schumer family lost their farm to bankruptcy after Gordon was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Amy Schumer was 12 at the time.
Schumer posted an Instagram video of himself in the cornfield around the farm, with the caption “Video of the farm where I was running away in the cornfield and my dad was taunting me, because I wanted him to come with me… We lost the farm when we lost everything. But today I got to buy it back for him.”

Today, Schumer’s father lives in an assisted living facility. The comedian told a screenshot of a FaceTime call with her father, the subtitle, “Today, I bought my father’s farm back.”

After the family lost the farm they moved to Long Island, New York.
In April, the best-selling author surprises her father with a FaceTime call with his favorite celebrity Goldie Hawn. They posted a video on Twitter the call to write, “Face timing with the goddess @goldiehawn who made my father[‘s] dreams come true.”
