Amsterdam voted one of best art deco cities

The Us edition of The Guardian has Amsterdam, named in the top ten of the best art deco cities of the world.

Other art deco-rich sites and buildings in the capital, according to The Guardian, the de Pijp district, the Olympic Stadium and the convention center Basel.
Other cities appearing in the top ten include Lisbon, Valencia, and Nice.

Art deco was in the twenties and thirties a popular de stijl movement, which was widely applied in, among others, fashion, architecture, and interior design. Important feature of art deco is the embrace of technology, with rich colors and geometric figures.
