Amsterdam City Swim fetches 1.9 million euros for AS
During the first lustrum edition of the Amsterdam City Swim to have more than 3,000 participants, nearly 1.9 million euros bijeengezwommen. They laid a trail of 2 kilometers through the Amsterdam canals, whose water is almost 22 degrees.
The proceeds is intended for research into the incurable and deadly nerve and muscle disease AS. The organisation of the Amsterdam City Swim speaks of a “very successful edition”. Last year brought the zwemevenement more than 1.8 million euros.
Late Night Swim
In honor of the anniversary was on Friday 9 september, the Amsterdam Late Night City Swim organized. A 100-meter sprint in the Keizersgracht, where Olympic Champion Ferry Weertman emperor was crowned. Also today he was the fastest swimmer.
