Amsterdam city council attracts 2.2 million for events

The Amsterdam city council for the next year, over 2.2 million euro has been set aside in grants for events in the city. The Amsterdam Gay Pride, with 250,000 euro the most.
Moreover, substantial amounts to the Uitmarkt (225.000 euro), Sail (100.000), Amsterdam Dance Event (100.000), the arrival of Sinterklaas (100.000), Amsterdam Light Festival (100.000) and Kwaku Summer Festival (of 100,000).
In total, the college of mayor and aldermen, now, more than 1.1 million euros, divided, made alderman Kajsa Ollongren (culture) Friday known. The remaining amount will continue to be available for unforeseen events or events that are still to occur.
The city government has also paid attention to newcomers as Amsterdam Light Festival and photo festival Unseen. Thanks to the support of the municipality, these are annually recurring events.
