America will send 600 military personnel to Iraq for offensive IS-stronghold of Mosul.
The United States will send hundreds of extra soldiers to the Iraqi Mosul to the forces support in an offensive against Islamic State.
That has the U.s. secretary of Defense Ash Carter on Wednesday confirmed. With the extra effort, brings the total of American troops in Iraq at nearly 5.300.
Mosul, after Baghdad, the largest city in Iraq, is, since June 2014 in the hands of IS, but the Iraqi army now has large areas around the city recaptured.
