(Ap) – Amazon.com Inc. said Monday it has an ad-supported free version of its music streaming service, Amazon Music, and taking on a competitor, Spotify, the Technology that is around 140 million registered users for its free version.
Amazon offers paid plans for its music service, starting at just $9.99 per month, and it is also a part of her first collection. The company has launched a free version of its music service, So users will have the Ultrasound machines in the end of September.
Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming service is also offering a “freemium” model, which comes with a free, ad-supported version along with a paid ad-free version for $9.99 per month.
However, as Apple Inc., Apple’s Music only offers a paid subscription for $9.99 per month, and accounts for nearly one-fifth of the paid-for music streaming market, according to Counterpoint Research.
Amazon shares were up nearly 0.5%, while that of the competitor, Spotify, and fell to about 5%.
