Amazon change e-bookdeals for European research
Amazon web store has submitted a proposal to the European Commission in which it promises certain concurrentieclausules in contracts with e-bookuitgevers to delete.
That leaves the European Commission Tuesday afternoon to know.
The administrative body of the European Union is asking interested parties for their feedback on the proposal. On this basis, decided by the European Commission or the proposed changes of Amazon accepts it.
In the proposal, among other things, that Amazon European publishers of e-books no longer contract will require the company to equally favorable or even more favorable terms than competing e-bookwinkels.
The European Commission started in June 2015, a mededingingsonderzoek to these alleged practices. Amazon would themselves through these clauses may result in an unfair competitive position to provide.
Amazon promises that publishers of e-books the technologiegigant not more on the height need to make the agreements that they have with other e-bookwinkels close. Also, they will get the opportunity to existing contracts, where such clauses are still included, to end.
