Also nuclear reactor Tihange 2 are shut down
The Belgian reactor Tihange 2 is Friday morning shut down. That has operator Engie Electrabel notified. Tihange 1 was Wednesday shut down once during the construction works a part of the building damaged was hit.
There is a malfunction in the steam generator in Tihange 2. The generator is located in “the non-nuclear part” of the central. It is not known how long the repair will take.
