‘Smallville’ actress Allison Mack pled guilty to extortion charges in Brooklyn federal court Monday, after being accused of crimes in connection with the alleged self-help group NXIVM and its spiritual leader, Keith Raniere. Prosecutors accused Mack help Raniere recruiting women on a secret sub-society within NXIVM, and sex slaves for Raniere. Mack’s plea came shortly before jury selection was scheduled to begin.

“Smallville” star Allison Mack, reportedly tried to recruit more than one of her co-stars in the Nxivm sex cult.

Actress Alaina Huffman claimed that Mack, 36, encouraged her to come to Nxivm meetings, but that she declined.

“It is interesting that, when I look back, I had been invited to a number of meetings, and because I had two small children at the time, I never really had the time and our schedules never really lined, so I never ended up attending,” Huffman, 39, told Us Weekly on Tuesday. “To be honest, there was always a little something about it.”

“But I can see the appeal. Here was a successful young woman lives a fabulous life, and it was intriguing,” she admitted. “I can see where people have drawn.”

It was not only a Huffman scheme that kept her away from Mack’s meetings, ” she says. Huffman claims that her intuition told her to steer clear of.

“It was just a feeling, and I was like, ‘No, I’m good,” and I stayed away,” she said. “I don’t know if that is because I had my own village, I was not very sensitive or vulnerable. I had a great group of friends, at the time that I was married, and I had my children.”

When it turned out that Mack allegedly recruited sex slaves in the cult, Huffman says that she is “shocked.”

“I was a little bit like ‘Oh, my God! Oh, that makes sense,'” she recalled.

“Smallville” star Kristin Kreuk previously denied being involved in the sex-cult, but who are permitted to briefly attend Nxivm meetings and not witnesses of something nefarious at the time.

“When I was about 23, I took an Executive Success Programs, NXIVM ‘intensive’ what I understood to be a self-help/personal growth course that helped me with my previous embarrassment, that is the reason why I continued with the program,” Kreuk wrote. “I left about five years ago and had very little contact with those who were still involved.”

“The accusation that I had in the ‘inner circle’ or recruited women as ‘sex slaves’ blatantly false,” Kreuk said. “During my time, I have never experienced any illegal or criminal activities. I am shocked and disgusted by what has come out about [the cult].”

In April, Mack pleaded guilty to extortion charges in relation to the Nxivm case.

Prosecutors accused Mack help Nxivm leader Keith Raniere recruiting women on a secret sub-society of sex slaves within the group.

Mack reportedly rose in the ranks to become a major player in the activities, which allegedly included the branding of its members and find sex slaves for Raniere.
