Alex Trebek is open about his mental health, as well as in the midst of his ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer.
Speaking with “Good Morning America” host Michael Strahan, Trebek and his wife, Jean, talked about in the “Jeopardy!” host is the diagnosis and how it has led to periods of depression.

“My doctor told me that one of the symptoms, if you will, of pancreatic cancer, is that you get these moments of depression, of sadness,” Trebek said in an interview.
Trebek realizes that his symptoms have made it difficult for his wife, and children, Matthew and Emily.
“It is difficult for the care-givers, as [Jean] has to do with her caring about my well-being, and also dealing with … I’m not always the most pleasant person to be around when I was experiencing severe pain or depression, and they have to be careful to have me with you,” Trebek, 79, will be continued.

In spite of his bouts of depression as well as cancer in other parts of the world, the “Danger” the host is not going to walk away from the game show arena at any time soon, according to People.
“He has no plans to stop, and it’s by no means an announcement of his retirement,” a co-worker of Trebek told the outlet.
