Elk Grove, California, police are crediting Uber driver Keith Avila for helping rescue a girl from prostitution — a girl he gave a ride in his car, along with two suspected female pimps on Monday night.
“They began to talk, to say what was going on. Just like what they are doing, child sex trafficking,” Avila said.

Avila says he grabbed the two women and a 16-year-old girl from Sacramento, and brought them to the Holiday Inn hotel in Elk Grove, where the two women allegedly pimped the girl to a man for sex.
Minutes after the drop off at the hotel, he called the police for help.

“The police came quickly. They do not play. They do not play. Not if you are doing child sex trafficking,” he said.
The police arrested the two women, the Fate Pettway and Mary Westly, for various charges related to pimping and pandering.
Avila says that was the conversation between the adult women and the girl warned him to the alleged crime that is about to go down.
“You’re gonna cuddle them, you pat them down, make sure they don’t have no weapons. You ask him: “do you have weapons?” And then ask for donations. Say “did you get my donation?” For the first donation. And then for you to go and nothing to do, for the first donation.'”
And all that time, Avila says the victim was, of course, only a child.
“I looked her in the eyes. She had the face of innocence, and uncertainty,” he said.
