Alaska Airlines reduced rate for Monday and Tuesday in response to the Amtrack derailment.
Alaska Airlines announced in a tweet earlier today that the lowering of the ticket prices of flights between Seattle and Portland on both Monday and Tuesday.
The decision to cut rates was made in response to the tragic Monday morning Amtrak train derailment that claimed at least three lives.

The Seattle to Portland flights originally cost $214, but the plane is cutting it to $99.
In a tweet, Alaska Airlines assured customers that the price would be honored, despite a “hiccup” on the site that does not match the new reduced rate.

Delta airlines has also reduces the burden of those traveling to or from Seattle on Monday and Tuesday, because of customers to make a single change to a ticket without a fee, the Seattle Times reported. Changed all tickets must be reissued on or before the coming Friday.
