Al Franks, Trent Franks, John Conyers, among the politicians of sexual misconduct, accused in 2017

Several politicians were accused of sexual misconduct in the year 2017, what to house ethics Committee investigations and resignations.

Here are the Republicans and Democrats, who were accused of sexual misconduct this year.

John Conyers

Almost a half-dozen women have come forward with accusations against Conyers.


Almost half-a-dozen women before Rep. John Conyers, D worked for Me., recently, the sexual misconduct accusing him. Many of the women claim that Conyers harassed and touched her in an immoral manner.

Conyers has denied the allegations. Nevertheless, many of his colleagues and called on him to resign.

The representatives, who was first elected in 1964, appeared in the Dec. 5. At the time of his resignation, Conyers, his 27-year-old son, John Conyers III approved, to replace him. It is not yet clear whether he intends to run for his father old seat.

Blake Farenthold

The house ethics Committee announced in early December, it is the expansion of which was an investigation about sexual harassment allegations against Republican Rep. Blake Farenthold from Texas.

The Committee said it will investigate whether Farenthold sexually harassed her, an Ex-member of his staff and retaliated against for their complaints. The Committee also said the panel would examine the allegations that Farenthold made inappropriate statements to other members of his official staff.

Lauren Greene, a former communications director in the house of office, allegedly, in 2014 a Federal lawsuit that she was sexually harassed and fired soon after complaining about a hostile work environment. Farenthold said, if the case has been settled, in the year 2015, he will not engage in any misconduct.

After the announcement, Farenthold said he was “relieved” that the ethics Commission would look further into the case.

“Once all the facts are released, I am confident that this matter will be clarified once and for all and settled,” Farenthold said. “I’m glad, too, that the Committee on ethics recognizes, as per your instruction, I have worked fully with the Committee of inquiry and confirmed a decision has been delayed due to difficulties in retrieving the live testimony of other witnesses.”

“This study increases the transparency the public deserves, and that is what I wanted since the beginning.”

At least eight different women in democratic Minnesota Sen. Al Franken of sexual misconduct have accused.

Many of the women claim that Franken kissed violently, groping and unwanted sexual advances.

Franken, a comedian turned politician, in office since 2009, was initially accused by Los Angeles, radio anchor, Leeann Tweeden, who claimed francs forcibly kissed her during a 2006 USO tour.

After more women came forward, the Franks faced a Senate ethics Committee investigation, and many Democrats encouraged Franken to step down.

Franks, who has apologized for his actions, announced Thursday that he will resign the Senate “in the coming weeks.”

Arizona Rep. Trent Franks back Friday kicked reported in the midst of news that he was pushed, allegedly, again and again, to carry a former aide-de-camp child. Frank’s supposed to be your $bot to trade 5 million, as a surrogate.

Frank first announced his resignation on Thursday, saying that he will formally step down in January. But after his wife was in the hospital earlier this week his plans changed and his resignation was effective. Dec. 8, 2017.

The representative allegedly was encouraged to step down from speaker Paul Ryan, the learned, a house ethics Committee investigation into his behavior.

Franken admitted that surrogacy discuss with two of his female employees, “made certain people uncomfortable.”

Ruben Kihuen

Rep. Ruben Kihuen was accused of sexual harassment by a former aid.

A former aide, identified only as Samantha, the accused recently, Nevada Rep. Ruben Kihuen is the first term, the legislature, again and again to sexual advances to her during the 2016 congressional campaign.

On two occasions, she said he touched her leg without permission. She also claims that representatives of a immoral the request for dates, and sex multiple times despite their repeated denials.

Buzzfeed first reported the former aide’s allegations.

“I apologize for everything I said or did, it was uncomfortable. I’m not taking this thing seriously, because it is indicative of who I am,” Kihuen said in a statement following the report. “But I want to make it clear that I can’t remember any of the circumstances that you described.”

On Saturday, a top house Democrat, said Kihuen should resign amid the allegations. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, said she found Samantha’s allegations to be persuasive, the Associated Press reported.

Roy Moore

Roy Moore, a former Alabama judge and the Republican candidate in the U.S. Senate Special election in Alabama, was accused of inappropriate sexual relations with young girls while he was in his 30s, reported the Washington Post in a bomb, a report about a month before the special election.

Since the report, more women have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations.

Moore has vehemently denied the accusations, even calling them “the definition of fake news.”

Since the allegations came to light, however, many Republicans have called on him to step aside from the campaign. But others, as President Trump, and Steve Bannon, and more-by Moore, in spite of the allegations.
