Just like a week ago in Warsaw had Ajax on Thursday in the Arena the initiative. It took only until the twentieth minute for the home team of the first got, but then it was also almost touch.
After a nice action of Amin Younes came Hakim Ziyech in possession of the ball and looked for with a low shot to the far corner. The Polish goalkeeper Arkadiusz Malarz was hopeless, but the pole was the opening goal in the way. In the rebound occurred Legia defender Michal Pazdan that Kasper Dolberg scored.
Ajax were also dangerous through a low cross from Younes, that everyone missed, and a shot in the zijnet of Davy Klaassen. A little later, a cross from Younes, but said Klaassen.
In between was the team of Bosz, watch out for the Polish counters. Keeper André Onana came well out of his goal and was earlier at the ball than the depth of Michal Kucharczyk, the only attacker of Legia. Shortly before peace was Jairo Riedewald in the lesson. He knew a man just tapping it, causing the Belgian Vadis Odjidja Legia not on lead.
A lead halfway through for Legia was also not earned. It was Ajax that the game is made and at the beginning of the second half was also rewarded. After a nice combination brought goalkeeper Malarz narrowly rescue on a shot of Younes, but on the rebound from Viergever he had no answer: 1-0.
The goal did Ajax well, and it immediately became the hunt for more hits opened. In the end it was the home team, however inaccurate, while Legia more and more seemed to realize that they understand a goal is needed.
In the course of the second half crept into the team of coach Jacek Magiera, therefore, more from the shell, could that Onana is not a cause for concern. A shot of Vitesse-mercenary Valeri Qazaishvili flew right into the hands of the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
On the other hand, got Bertrand Traoré the ball after a bad corner not at the corner. Dolberg was a few minutes later, too far to the corner driven in order to effectively lash out. A quarter of an hour for time shot Traoré.
The reason for this was exciting. Legia knew that a goal had had enough, but on two occasions brought Onana rescue. On the other hand, could also Ajax the duel decide. Shots of Lasse Schöne and Ziyech went but just next to it.
In the four minutes of injury time it was still billenknijpen. A Polish shot was blocked and a header from substitute Tomas Necid went next. The Arena was bouncing already as many as five Players in the direction of the goal from Legia counterden, but Ziyech got the ball.
Fortunately, for Ajax had that mistake with no consequences. It remained 1-0 and so the Amsterdam club Friday the sleeve for the draw of the eighth-finals.
