Mateo Cassierra plays the rest of the season for Ajax. The striker is by the Amsterdam club retrieved from FC Groningen, for which he on a rental basis came out. Kaj Sierhuis comes the opposite way and is leased to the northerners.
It was initially intended that the 21-year-old Cassierra the whole season for FC Groningen would come true, but Ajax came up with the number fifteen in the Premier league match which he now returns in Amsterdam.
Cassierra played a total of ten matches for Groningen and scored once. Last season he came out for Jong Ajax, with which he became champion in the Jupiler League.
The Colombian, who at Ajax has a contract until mid-2021, with eighteen goals scored in 29 matches played a big part in the title. He finished third on the topscorerslijst in the Jupiler League.
Cassierra made more than two years ago, the switch from Deportivo Cali to Ajax. In the summer of 2016, he made his debut in the main body of the Ajax against PAOK Thessaloniki in the qualifying round of the Champions League. Until now he played 34 official matches for Ajax and made therein five hits.
Sierhuis for a year and a half to be rented to Groningen
The twenty-year-old Sierhuis plays not only this season for FC Groningen. He is until the summer of 2020 to be rented to ‘The Pride of the North’, which also has an option to purchase have agreed.
Sierhuis comes since by the end of 2016 for Ajax and was in 41 league games good for 22 goals. This season found the attacker in thirteen duels four times the net.
