Ajax explains Austrian defender Wöber (19) for four seasons fixed

Ajax has Thursday the transfer of Maximilian Wöber completed. The 19-year-old defender is taken from Rapid Wien and signs for four seasons in Amsterdam.

The Austrian neo-international put Thursday his signature under a contract that runs until the summer of 2021, says Ajax on the website of the club.

It is not known how many Ajax will pay for Wöber, but according to various media stroke Rapid Wien a transfer fee of 7.5 million euros.

Wöber debuted last year February in the Europa League match against Valencia as a 17-year-old in the first team of Rapid Wien and played since then 24 official matches for the recordkampioen of Austria.

He was recently for the first time selected for the national team. Coach Marcel Koller took the young defender in his selection for the world cup kwalificatieduels with Wales and Georgia.
