Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur complete miljoenentransfer Sanchez off
Davinson Sanchez makes final transition from Ajax to Tottenham Hotspur. Both clubs report Friday reached an agreement on a transition of the Colombian.
The transfer is a sum of 40 million euros. That amount can by bonuses of up to 42 million euros. This makes him the most expensive player ever from the Premier league.
Sanchez must be in the English or medical examination. Also, he is still awaiting a work permit. If all is in order, he signs a contract until mid-2023.
The transfer of Sanchez, who has only one season for Ajax, played, hung for some time in the air. The centrumverdediger was missing Thursday in the lost Europa League match with Rosenborg (0-1). Clubs are no longer in Amsterdam to sign, warns director spelersbeleid Marc Overmars of Ajax. “We have jointly decided that for us the transfer, in regards to outgoing transfers, was now closed. We won’t let you go anymore,” he says on the website of Ajax.
According to Overmars, it seemed a long time that both clubs there is not would come. “In the past week have been a lot of discussions with the agents of Davinson and with Spurs. Actually, we wanted him not to let go, that also played.”
