Airbus BelugaXL plane has a quirky new makeover — and it’s all to make people laugh.

The aviation company’s implementation of the new look, with the huge plane now looks more like a white beluga whale.

The cute paint was voted on by Airbus employees, who wanted the design to look more like a whale. Forty percent voted in favor of the animal design, including bright blue eyes and a smiling black mouth.

So far, those who have seen pictures of the plane, was unveiled in France last week, were pleasantly surprised.

“I love the custom paint job that Airbus, on their “Beluga XL” transport aircraft,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Love the new Beluga XL,” another tweeted.

The Airbus was originally the name of an A300-600ST, but it quickly earned its whale nickname because of the stunning similarity of the plane had the white beluga whale, with its distinctive hump on the forehead.

The BelugaXL, which was designed in 2014, focused on the need for larger aircraft, will have cute new look in service in 2019, the brand said in a press release.
