In an exclusive interview with Fox News, attorney General William Barr explained that he is trying to get to the bottom of whether or not “public officials abused their power and put their thumb on the scale” during the early stages of the Russian probe.

“I tried to reply to the questions, and I have found that many of the answers were inadequate, and some of the explanations I get are not related, in a sense, I have more questions, the set today, than when I first started,” Barr Fox News’ Bill Hemmer said in an interview to air Friday on “America’s Newsroom.”

“What contexts?” Inhibitors asked.

“Some of the explanations of what happened,” Barr said.

“Why does that matter?” asked Hemmer.

“People need to know what the government did during this period. If we are worried about foreign influence, for the very same reason why we concerned should be whether government officials abuse their power and place their thumb on the scale,” Barr responded.

Barr added, “I’m not saying that happened, but it is something that we need to look at.”

Inhibitors conducted the interview with Barr in El Salvador, where he joined the crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border, MS-13, drug and human trafficking with officials.
