An Aeroflot pilot who reportedly died from a heart attack while piloting a flight to Russia on Sunday morning. “Unfortunately, it is not possible to resuscitate the pilot,” an Aeroflot spokesperson told the local media, as per the Mirror. The Anapa-bound flight was reportedly going to for a replacement driver.

According to one source, RT, in the death of a pilot, had recently complained of pain in the chest, before boarding the flight, but it was a success for a “routine medical check-up,” and “had not had a health that would have excluded him from the operation of the aircraft.”

Although a spokesman for Aeroflot, Russia’s flag-carrier, was not immediately available for further comment, the Independent reports that an investigation has been started into the incident.
