Aer Lingus passenger is reunited with their parents as, after the airline loses a bag-in-transit

An Irish man has been reunited with the ashes of his parents and the small bag containing the remains of which were lost while in transit on an Aer Lingus flight.

Gilmour and his family in touch with Aer Lingus about the missing luggage, but the airline was not sure what had happened, so many different styles to consider hosting the memorial service for his mother and father, their ashes.

Gilmour told the Irish news site RTE of his pocket, and his wife, in the bag were the two that had been lost, while his daughter’s and son’s pockets, both of which were shipped to Dublin, ireland.

“We have to kind of make a joke about it on Facebook, that mommy and daddy have decided to elope, or they’re on a trip around the world, but they still have a chance,” he said, SHORT.

However, three days later, Gilmour told the ROUTE, the airline called and told him the bag containing the ashes was at the Airport and Milan’s Malpensa airport. The baggage handlers had not been loaded on the plane.

The bag was reported to have flown during the night, the family came to the ceremony.

In response, Aer Lingus, to Fox News, the carrier confirmed the incident and apologised for any inconvenience caused.

“Unfortunately, it was not loaded onto the Aer Lingus flight due to the baggage handlers at the Airport and Malpensa airport. To the left was the night in the Airport, from where it was shipped to the family in the morning. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
