Actor Jelle de Jong hopes on Doctor Deen movie
Actor Jelle de Jong will find it hard to imagine that Doctor Deen after four seasons finally comes to an end. Actually, he hopes for a sequel. “Maybe if valve is a movie around Christmas, that would be great.”
In conversation with the AD says the 30-year-old actor that the awareness that the final recordings for the successful series of Omroep MAX are almost, yet not to him, is penetrated. “In my head I think still: after two months of calling them and going through again.”
De Jong plays in the series the son of doctor Maria Deen, played by Monique van de Ven. Doctor Deen meant the breakthrough of the actor to the public at large. “I did audition for “Soldier of Orange”, for which Edwin (de Vries, director and husband of Van de Ven, eds.) the script has written. At that moment I was actually too young. For the role of Robbert was still a nobody cast and Edwin offered me that role.”
Despite the high ratings of the series, to the valve of the third season, looked at 1.6 million people, Omroep MAX decided to stop. The creators of Doctor Deen have said previously not to exclude that the story is possible with any other broadcaster or transmitter goes.
