The police in Oregon “arrested” Horrifying T. Snowman Tuesday as part of an effort to crack down on drunk driving during the holiday season.

The operation of the St. Helens Police Department is “a high-visibility enforcement (HVE) campaign against drunk, drugged and high drivers” between Dec. 15 and Jan. 1 – that the department referenced in a press release as “one of the most dangerous driving days of the year in the United States.”

Snowman’s arrest was made by honorary Officer Claus.

“Impaired driving is an increasingly dangerous event in St. Helens during the winter holiday season,” Sgt. Jose Castilleja said. “Our goal is simple, to discourage people from driving after they drink alcohol or use drugs, including marijuana, in order to save lives.”

Snowman was “arrested” early Monday by honorary patrol Officer Claus. The department writes that the Snowman, who was arrested on charges of DUI and reckless driving with a blood alcohol level of .16, “admitted that he was on his way home from a holiday party, where he drank a little too much peppermint schnapps.”

The department joked that Snowman, seen here, is fingerprinted, is scheduled to appear in court for his drunk driving charges on Dec. 20.

The police joked Snowman is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 20.

“Mr. Snowman is very happy that there is more serious damage to property or injury to a pedestrian or fellow driver not to occur,” Officer Claus said. “However, his holiday season significantly less happy this year as he faces possible imprisonment and fines. We hope that he can be a lesson for anyone who might consider drinking and driving during the holidays.”
