Abby Lee Miller returns to “Dance Moms” after the prison, cancer, stroke

It’s official!

ET learned in July that Abby Lee Miller would be returning to the “Dance Moms,” and now the reality star is sharing the news with the fans. Miller took to Instagram on Friday to confirm that her return to the Life series, promising “the best is yet to come.” They announced in March 2017, that they are leaving the show, with “Dancing With the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke recently you are in for the second half of the “Dance Moms”, the seventh of the season.

“OMG! Can you believe that I am going to be filming Season 8 of Dance Moms! Yes, it is official! We start the end of Jan! #dancemoms #aldcalways #abbyleemiller #season8 #ALDC #thebestisyettocome #aldcla,” Miller subtitle a silly photo of himself giving the camera a shocked expression.

Miller — who was released from the Federal Correctional Complex in March after serving a term of imprisonment of one year and one day for bankruptcy fraud — first teased its return to the “Dance Moms” in November. “Grrrrrrrr!!!! Back to the daily grind Comment if you can guess what we’re shooting today? #abby #abbyleemiller #abbylee #dance #tvshow #dancemoms,” she captioned a photo of himself filming a TV show.

The reality star is returning to work less than six months after she finished her fifth round of chemotherapy for To lymphoma, which she was diagnosed with after emergency back surgery in April. In the summer, Miller had to learn to walk again after another emergency spinal surgery in June.

A source told ET in July that Miller was hoping to add “Dance Moms,” and the following month, in one of her former students, JoJo Siwa, gave ET a health update on Miller.

“She’s not 100 percent there yet, but she is doing well,” she said at the time. “She goes through therapy, she goes through all the things that she needs to go through, chemo, of course. [I] think that they are but one or two rounds of the chemo, so that is really, really good for her, but she is cheerful, she is full of good cheer.”
