Deputies arrested the parents, who were found in their mobile home in a drug-induced coma, after their toddler was found wandering along a busy road in the Oak Hill area.
A couple in Florida was arrested on Monday after a toddler was found alone, wearing only a soiled diaper, along a busy highway, police said.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook, the incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. in the Oak Hill, which is located in the northern part of Titusville.
One woman told me that she was on a trip to the south of u.s. 1, when they saw a child trying to cross the road in front of her. She said that she stopped her vehicle in order to avoid the cars in front of him to hit.

“When I first saw him, he was looking confused,” the woman, Sam Strozier, told FOX35 that “The baby was just lost, take dirt all the way down to the ground. The body is covered with nothing but mosquito bites.”
Yajaira Tirado, 28, and Jacob Krueger, 25, were arrested on child neglect charges on Monday after their toddler was found on the side of a highway in the Florida keys.

Strozier said that when she was on the phone with the police, they tried to keep the child of a shot in the lane.
“I was trying to get the baby to calm down, and said,” Come here, sweetie, and the baby came right up to me,” she said.
The sheriff’s office said when deputies arrived, a mail carrier and had also stopped to help and held a 2-year-old boy who was “wearing only a soiled diaper and his arms covered in bug bites.”
According to the police, and a deputy was sent to a nearby trailer park, and it was discovered that the parents of the child has passed on “all, apparently, under the influence of drugs, and frothing at the mouth, and at first does not react to the sound of his own voice.”

When the assistant shouted, and banged on the wall, and the parents woke up, got dressed, and went out of the house.
“During the investigation, the deputy placed the child in the back seat of his patrol car because there were broken beer bottles on the floor, and a number of knives at the child,” police said. “The house was in a poor condition, with trash, dirty clothes, and dirty dishes were piled up, not a twin room, and one bed was just a mattress with no sheets.”
The parents of the child, the 28-year-old Yajaira Tirado, and the 25-year-old Jacob Krueger, was arrested and charged with child neglect. The police said when he was asked about what the child had for breakfast, but Tirado said that the toddler will usually be contracts such as a loaf of bread, and ourselves.”

The authorities said that it was not the first time that the couple had a run-in with law enforcement. The representative told me that he knew where to find them, because of a previous case in which Tirado is in January 2018, when she was charged with child neglect after a child called 911, and responding, found the two children, only to be left with a loose, aggressive dog in the house with an unsecured gun and ammunition.”
The toddler has been placed in the custody and care of the Department of Children and Families in need. Authorities say the parents were transported to the Volusia County Jail on a charge that the transfer of $5,000 each, and even more.
Strozier, who is a grandmother, she told FOX35 that the whole situation was heart-breaking.
“I don’t know what kind of drugs they were on, but it was sick,” she said. “I just shook my head in disbelief.”
