The authorities say that it is a Scottish man who allegedly faked his death from California’s Carmel coast, in order to avoid rape charges back home, has been arrested.

Kim Vincent’s, Like, 55, also known as Ken Gordon Avis, was arrested in Colorado Springs, colo., last week, that authorities announced on Friday. He is being held by the U.s. Marshals Service.

The man’s son alerted the police that his father had disappeared on Oct. 25, after a night-time dive in the area.

The son returns to the isle of man will not face charges for filing a false tax return. The suspect, meanwhile, is set to be extradited back to Scotland to face the charges.
