HONOLULU – Hawaii officials say a power outage at Honolulu international airport, that has caused travel delays.
Department of Transportation spokesman Tim Sakahara said that the power was in Terminal 1 at the Daniel K. Inouye International, and at about 9:15 p.m., and The outage is limited to the Terminal 1 and the flight control tower at the airport and never lost power.
The Security checkpoint in the airport terminal was not operating, and there was no power in the trunk, so you have a back-up for departing passengers.
About an hour after the outage, officials announced that power had been restored.
Sakahara said that there was no evidence of a breach of the security, as well as areas with an electronically-locked doors, were checked by the security at the airport.
The Terminal 1 of the primary services of Hawaiian Airlines, and travelers have access to all of the airlines using the terminal at the airport.
