A northern New Jersey man and his nanny, were found dead early Saturday after a 911 caller reported a woman was being attacked.
The police department in the city of Maplewood responded to a 911 call at about 6 o’clock in the morning, a jogger reported that a woman was lying on the front lawn of the house where she was working, and it was the flow of blood to the head and to the torso by a clear stab wounds, witnesses told WABC.
Police responded to reports of an assault at a house in the vicinity of the 400 block of Walton Road in the vicinity of Jefferson Avenue Saturday morning.
When officers checked the house, they found the man dead inside. The woman was rushed to Beth Israel Medical Center, but died an hour later.

WNBC, citing sources, reported that some of the blood spatter and other evidence seems to suggest that the woman had been stabbed, in the house, and ran away from her attacker, who stayed her.
The police have not released the names of the victims, but neighbors told the local media that the man had lived in the house with his wife and children, who were not home at the time of the attack.
“They haven’t been here for a long time,” one neighbor, who only gave his name as Rich told you NJ.com. “I would drive by and see the ongoing activities, the children will want to play it, couldn’t be bothered.”

Neighbors told WABC she saw a man, believed to be the boyfriend of the woman are hanging around on their street, and Friday, and to search for the suspect. Police told the station that they know what they are looking for, and that the community is not put at risk.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s office is investigating the incident as a double homicide, and said it does not appear to be a murder-suicide.
