“We met today to make final arrangements, and they asked us to pay her $1,015, and food for your stay. I am shocked and deeply resentful, as it seems to be such a cold-hearted and commercial, not to visit friends, we decided to do that, in addition to that, we really can’t afford it,” @snoozy2straws spent.

“Well, I would have been happy to pay up to $125 per capita, and of food, but it seems to be a lot of. I feel like it’s not going to be that, but what I would say [to my daughter], she was so excited,” she continued.

The Mumsnet writer also added that she and her family would be staying at the home of his friend, “not even in an appendix or in a separate apartment, and was wondering if they are being unreasonable to cancel in the summer due to financial constraints.

Hundreds and hundreds of responses quickly poured in, with a lot of question as to who had done it, by inviting an exotic trip.

Some of the parties have agreed that the host was “very rude” about asking for money to cover their stay.

“I can’t go on. It’s a visit to a friend, not staying in a hotel, it is very, very cool, one of the user.

Others, meanwhile, were more sceptical, with one commenter pointing out that the exact procedure depends on the circumstances,” arguing that it is a five-night trip, it was a long time.

“It sounds like they’re sick of all the people who have to use it as a vacation home? It would be fair to say that they are feeling this way about you and your family?”, a cynic asked.

“5 nights or more, it is not a review, it’s an invasion!! You are looking for a night and then move on,” a further fee is charged. “Friends do not owe you anything.”

Fortunately, the variety of the advice and gave @snoozy2straws for the sake of clarity that they need.

“No, thank you, everyone, for the comments, and I can’t sleep for worrying about it,” she wrote online.

“I looked around for other options as well, but there isn’t anything cheaper in the short-term, so I guess I’ll just have to tell her that we can’t pay for it in one go and see what she has to say.”
