An Army National Guard soldier was recently surprised to find two young children during the closing camp fire of their North Carolina summer camp.

On the 18th of July, and promoted to Sergeant Stephen Boissey way surprised, and his step-daughter Alison, and son, Jesse, during an all-night program at the YMCA, Camp Hanes, in the town of the King, WFMY, Yahoo and Lifestyles of the report.

According to the video footage to share on YouTube as the YMCA and the soon-especially young people – fully dressed in the camp t-shirts have all been asked to help out as a volunteer at a camp fire skit.

In the heartwarming clip, obtained by Fox News, a woman dressed in costume and help with the children, young people, lift, one, large, Queen of Hearts-themed box to reveal a Boissey hidden from view.

Overwhelmed, Alison and Jesse, and collapsed into their father’s arms in an emotional reunion, following Boissey in the middle of a year-long deployment in the Middle East, Yahoo! reports. The sweet scene was met with a thunderous applause by the campers and the staff, who were looking on.

Camp Hanes is a particularly ideal location for the Boissey family, as Stephen used to work as a counselor at the camp.

“Just to think of it, I wanted to take the kids, and I was thrilled, and my knees were starting to hurt, but it was all worth it. I knew that it would be worth it,” Boissey, told WFMY the line.

“My favorite part was the look on their faces, and to hug them after being away for so long,” Winston-Salem, a police officer told Yahoo!

“It was kind of cool to get them to this point,” the camp director, Jen, and the Knight is told, the Yahoo of the one-of-a-kind reunion. “Everybody in the military family, is a hero.”
