A 58-year-old man was hit multiple times in a drive-by shooting outside a synagogue in Miami, Fla., on Sunday, in an incident police are investigating as a possible hate crime.
The man, who was not identified, was shot by the Young Israel of Greater Miami, a synagogue in North Miami Beach at approximately 6:30 p.m., in the Miami-Dade Police department, told Fox News on Monday.

A man was gunned down outside of the Young Israel of Greater Miami, a synagogue in Florida on Sunday night, police said.
Investigators said the man walked up to the front entrance of the building, when a black Chevy Impala drove by, and then “close the loop” for a second time, and before the driver out of the car and opened fire, striking [the man] several times in the lower extremities.” Officials have not released a description of the suspected shooter.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, and police said that he was “expected to be in a stable condition.”

The authorities said it was too early to determine whether or not the withdrawal will be classified as a hate crime, but authorities are investigating.
“In order to classify a crime as a hate crime, there are a number of elements that must be present,” the Miami-Dade Police spokesman, told Fox News. “And that’s what the researchers are looking into as we speak.”
