A former Michigan state legislator is of the opinion that he took a “one-in-a-million pictures over the weekend with a rare three-horn deer in the state’s Upper Peninsula.
Steve Lindberg, a former state representative, who lives in Marquette, messages of the wildlife photos on his Facebook page.
“Five days before the beginning of the rifle season for Whitetail Deer and it the way that I see it, along with his girlfriend,” he wrote in the post. “A three-horned -, nine -, or twelve-point buck (depending on whether you want to count the tines on its right antler, and the little tine on the left antler). I don’t recall ever seeing a three-horned deer for you.”

Lindberg posted a picture of the buck after two days of “only the elimination of any program (sic) rumors to the contrary.”

The local veterinarian, Steve Edwards, has confirmed that the deer was healthy, and that the deviation could have occurred at the time of an embryo transfer. He is also identified with the horns of a “one-in-a-million thing.”
