Fifty-three-year-old Russell Allen from Colorado was arrested after a run-in with police where he barricaded himself in his apartment, armed with a knife.
A Florida man accused of killing his wife and leaving her body at their Miami Beach apartment for more than a week, was arrested on Wednesday after a confrontation with police and SWAT officers.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News, a friend of the unidentified victim went to the couple’s apartment shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday to check on her, and noticed “a foul odor coming from the apartment and flies around the room.

“They tried to knock on the door, and Officer For the Team, told the 10-Local News. “The man slammed the door on her, and that is when they will then be contacted by the police.”
Russell Ewing, 53, is accused of killing his wife and leaving her body at their Miami Beach apartment for more than a week, police said. He was arrested Wednesday after surrendering to SWAT officers.

When officers arrived, a 53-year-old Russell Allen, Colorado has opened the door to the apartment, revealing herself to be naked with a knife in his hand. The statement added that, in Colorado, refused to come out of the apartment.
A SWAT team and hostage negotiators were called to the scene, and about twenty minutes later the table had been in a position to ensure a “peaceful surrender” of Miami Beach, according to police.

According to the court documents, the Colorado eventually agreed to turn himself in after a number of unsuccessful attempts to reach him over the phone. The police said he was taken into custody without incident.
When the police entered the apartment, they found the victim’s body “in an advanced state of decomposition,” under a blanket on the floor of the living room, court documents said.
Ewing, whose occupation is listed as a “chef” in the affidavit, told investigators that he had argued with the victim about the finances while he’s in the kitchen knives out of a bag. It says that the’ve claimed to be, he turned around to say something to his wife, and accidentally poked her in the stomach.
Ewing told the police that he was afraid of the government, to inform you about the video, which he believed was what happened Dec. 20. However, as the declaration states, that the stabbing likely happened in the two days before, on Oct. 18.

He is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
The statement says that Ewing and his wife have been together for a total of 20 years of age and had been married, divorced, and over that period of time.
