A Florida man faces attempted murder charges after he allegedly dragged an officer during a nearly 60-mile-per-hour during an attempt to flee from a traffic stop.
A police officer in Florida, it was a harrowing experience last month during a traffic stop when a man pulled up and pulled him with a speed of up to 60 mph in a stunning moment in time captured on video.
The Florida State Attorney’s Office, said the incident occurred May 9 when the Orlando police officer, Sean Murphy, drew more than 25-year-old Zavier Askew, because his vehicle had an expired tag. The officer said he found a broken window, and what he suspected to be marijuana in the car.
When the officer looked inside the car, he told me that he discovered a bag of marijuana in the car, in the glove box. Crooked, then tried to run away, jumping into the driver’s seat of the car, the officer also ran to the car, and he ended up dangling out the driver’s window.

Experts are saying that the officer, calm demeanor and compassion were key to the de-escalation of the situation in Chandler, Arizona.

The 25-year-old was arrested a short time after the crash. He remains held without bond at the Orange County Jail on charges of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, and kidnapping. The trial is currently scheduled for release in October, according to FOX35.
