A bird in Florida, it’s been spotted on the feeding of the baby chicks on the run: ‘Absolutely daunting’

“If you are a smoker, please do not leave your cigarette butts behind,” Mason’s signature from the post office.

“So sad,” one person commented.

“Definitely disheartening,” he said to the other person.

Later, Mason took to the social media platform, with a different picture. The second image is the same chick that is in regard to the transfer of the cigarette in her mouth.

“This skimmer chick was offered to have a cigarette, a cigarette is due to [her] as a parent. It’s about time we cleaned up our beaches and put them to be treated as a giant ashtray,” she wrote.

Cigarette butts were in the top 10 trash items most commonly collected from beaches worldwide, according to a 2018 a report by the Ocean Conservancy. In the U.S. specifically, more than 842,000 cigarette butts have been collected by 2017.

Other items that you collect in the country and included food containers, plastic cups, straws and stirrers, plastic grocery bags, among other trash items, according to the report.

Karen Mason does not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment on Thursday.
