8 tasty cocktails with cava

Eight cocktail recipes with Spanish sparkling wine for the holidays. To (now) to try out.

Cava is Catalan for ” wine cellar, cave in French. The word is since 1970 is used for Spanish sparkling wine, after the somewhat misleading term ‘Champana’ had to drop. Ingredients:

• 10 mint leaves

• 1/2 lime

• 1 tsp cane sugar

• 4,5 cl of brown rum

• 2 cl of liquid sugar

• 4 cl bruiswater

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Brut

• crushed ice

Method of preparation:

1. Put the mint leaves together with the sugar cane in the glass

2. scratch the sugar slightly in the leaves using a muddler

3. Pour the rum, liquid sugar, water, and the juice of the lime in there

4. Fill the glass with crushed ice

5. Stir well and top off with chilled champagne.

6. Finish with a sprig of mint and serve with a straw.

CAVA NARANJADO

Ingredients:

• Crushed ice

• Juice of 1/4 orange

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Semi Seco

Method of preparation:

1. Fill a highball glass half with crushed ice

2. Pour the orange juice on the ice

3. Fill the glass with cool cava

BRISA DE PIÑA

Ingredients:

• 3 tablespoons of crushed ice

• 4 cl. unsweetened pineapple juice

• 2 cl. white rum

• 1 teaspoon lemon juice

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Brut

• Baby pineapple

Method of preparation:

1. Scoop the crushed ice into a tall glass and stir in the pineapple juice and the rum it

2. Add lemon juice to the glass

3. Fill with chilled cava

4. Garnish with a piece of baby pineapple and a straw

LA CAR NARANJA

Ingredients:

• Ice cubes

• 4 cl. dry Vermouth

• 1 cl. Grand Marnier

• 2 cl. orange juice

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Semi Seco

• Orange slices to garnish

Method of preparation:

1. Pour the Vermouth, Grand Marnier and the orange juice in a glass

2. Add the ice cubes

3. Stir until everything is mixed well and sieve it into a wine glass

4. Fill with chilled cava

CAVA ROSA

Ingredients

• 1/2 lump of sugar

• Dash Of Campari

• Piece of lemon peel

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Brut

Method of preparation :

1. Immerse the piece of sugar in the Campari and put it in a wine glass

2. Rub the glass on the inside with the lemon peel and add a few droplets of lime to

4. Garnish with a piece of lemon peel in the drink

CAVA PUNCH

Ingredients:

• Ice cubes

• 1/4 dl. Campari

• 1/2 dl. Amaretto

• Fresh pineapple

• Candied cherry

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Brut

Method of preparation:

1. Pour the Campari and Amaretto in a glass and add some ice cubes

2. Peel the pineapple and mix it in the glass

3. Fill with chilled cava

4. Garnish each glass with a candied cherry or piece of pineapple

SORBETE DE LIMÓN AL CAVA

Ingredients:

• 1/2 bottle of Gran Baron Semi Seco

• 1 litre of ice lemon

• 8 tablespoons whipped cream

• 4 tablespoons vodka

• 1 lemon

• mint leaves

Method of preparation:

1. Clean the lemon well, cut a long piece of the peel and then into small strips. Put that separate.

2. Pour the ice cream into a bowl, add the cream, vodka and cava.

3. Mix it with a hand blender until all of the ingredients together to a smooth emulsion forms.

4. After the prepare meeteen serve with the mint leaves.

5. Optionally, before in to give the edges of the glass, dip it in some blue curacao or orange liqueur and then into some sugar.

CAVA FRAMBUESA

Ingredients:

• Crème de Framboise

• 1 bottle of Gran Baron Brut

Method of preparation:

1. Put a splash of Crème de Framboise in a glass

2. Fill with chilled cava
