LANCASTER, Pa. – Six cars have been trapped by a sinkhole that opened on the parking lot of the Pennsylvania outlet mall.
WGAL-TV reported that the hole swallowed up the vehicles at about 4:30 pm, Friday in Tangier, just east of the City of Lancaster.
A woman tells the station she was in one of the vehicles during the crash, and described it as an earthquake. Bystanders helped her out safely.
WGAL says no one is hurt, but the cars can not be removed when the environment is stable.
A woman who answered the phone at the mall office said: “the pictures do not lie” about the incident, then hung up.
Lancaster is about 70 miles (113 kilometers) west of Philadelphia.
