’40 percent of the young girls consider themselves too fat’
More than a third of British girls aged seven to ten years, think that women are more likely to be judged on their appearance than on their abilities. A third of seven – to tienjarigen would like to be better, and 40 percent will find themselves thick.
This is apparent from the Girlguiding’s Girls’ Attitude survey, was held under 1.627 girls and young women. Especially the uncertainty which prevails in the young girls is striking.
Two-fifths of the onderzoeksdeelneemsters let also know that they have the feeling not beautiful enough. 23 percent feel the pressure to be ‘perfect’ to be, and fifteen percent is ashamed about how they look.
It is also apparent from the research that girls in the age from seven to 21 years is less certain are going to feel about their body. In 2011, nearly three-quarters of the girls happy with their bodies, but that number is this year it dropped to 61 percent.
The Girlguiding organization will find the results of the research enough to have the hashtag #YouAreAmazing in the life to call.
They hope the girls aware that they should be proud of their body.
